We have been homeschooling from the beginning, 8+ years. It is a privilege to work with my daughter as she matures into a lovely young lady.
When I began this adventure my biggest fear was being able to teach her to read. That was accomplished the first year. She surprised her great-aunt when she picked up a book and read it to her with expression. Today she surrounds herself with books.
My biggest concern these days is scheduling all her interests into a 24 hour day that includes 10 hours of sleep!
She keeps me running, or rather driving, around the country taking her to classes - dance, piano, violin/viola and to church and 4-H activities.
I am looking forward to the next 5 years of homeschooling. This blog will hopefully be my record of the continuing journey.
